Safeguarding children and adults whilst practicing martial arts is very important to us at Han Guk Mu Sool and Self Defence in Carterton. We are Safeguarding Code compliant and monitored by the Han Guk Mu Sool Association. Any safeguarding concerns should be raised directly with our safeguarding leads. They are here to support and protect you, whether you are a member, parent, carer, or supporter of our club.

Code of Ethics
As members of the Han Guk Mu Sool (HGMS) association, we are committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in all our interactions and practices in and out of lessons. By adhering to these ethical guidelines, we strengthen the foundation of HGMS to promote a positive and respectful community and to better ourselves, peers and society.
- Responsibility - treat all individuals with dignity and respect, regardless of their background, identity, gender, age or skill level. Refrain from engaging in discrimination, harassment or bullying.
- Safety - prioritise the safety and wellbeing of everyone and anyone during training and events.
- Confidentiality - respect the privacy of fellow practitioners, instructors and association matters.
- Conflict resolution - approach conflicts with an open mind and a willingness to seek resolution through dialogue.

Code of Conduct
Here at Han Guk Mu Sool and Self Defence in Carterton we follow our code of conduct to ensure that all are treated fairly and with respect. Our code of conduct expects all members of our community to show:
